Parliamentary floor leader of "Batkivshina", Alexander
Turchinov informed that according to information, which he has, the decision of
board of the Kiev city court on Julia Timoshenko's repeated arrest was passed
"on command of Kuchma, and the resolution was prepared in an extra hurry by
Nikolay Obihod and Victor Medvedchuk". The deputy informed that recently
pressure is put on doctors to discharge Timoshenko from clinic and to send her
to CIZO.
"It was necessary for government that meeting with representatives
of PASS (as Timoshenko met on Friday with lecturer of PASS, Khanne Severinsen)
should be held in more normal conditions than conditions of interrogative
isolator", - as emphasized by him.
According to Turchinov, session of board of the Kiev city court was held
in the closed regime and resolution was passed within 20 minutes. The decision
of board of capital city court was passed that "State Office of Public
Prosecutor presented new confidential data (in case of Timoshenko), which are
not subject to disclosure ", deputy told.
He also thinks that repeated arrest of Timoshenko, it is "demarche,
called to stop any negotiating process of authority with opposition".
"It is also the answer of authority as she wants to negotiate, and there
will be an attempt for the use of force in the present situation in Ukraine
", - told Turchinov.
On Monday security guards of ex-vice-Premier of Ukraine, leader of party
"Batkivshina", Julia Timoshenko is going to appeal against the
decision of board of the Kiev city court on cancellation of decision Pecher
regional court of the capital about cancellation of the permission of the State
Office of Public Prosecutor on her arrest.
When repeated taking under custody of Timoshenko became known, this was
informed on Saturday by parliamentary floor leader of "Batkivshina"
Alexander Turchinov in press conference promptly held in Kiev.
He confirmed that on Friday at 22.30, in chamber of clinic of "physician",
where regenerative treatment of Timoshenko is proceeding," representatives
of the State Office of Public Prosecutor and that of special division of
Interior Ministry rushed, showed the decision of court and informed about
renewal of the permission of arrest, written by Nikolay Obihod (vice-General
Prosecutor of Ukraine) on February, 13 ".
According to Turchinov at that moment in chamber of leader of "Batkivshina"
was the editor of the newspaper "Mirror of week", Julia Mostovaja and
he himself.
As the People's Deputy asserts, representatives of General Prosecutor
explained that search in chamber will be carried out and sentry is deployed.
" All process passed till two o'clock in the morning ", - emphasized
Turchinov.
As he said, at present with Timoshenko, we have no access to her, "floor
and room is blocked", where there is the ex-vice-Premier.
As asserts Turchinov, even lawyer can not have access to Timoshenko, as
the permission for this purpose should be received from State Office of Public
Prosecutor, and Saturday - Sunday are off days.
Turchinov emphasized also that now it is reliably not known, where is
Timoshenko.
According to present at press conference of the heads of the Ukrainian
social-democratic party and People's Deputy, Vasily Onopenko, the decision of
board of the Kiev city court is "violent violation of rights and freedom of
citizens and constitution". "It is illegal, unreasonable decision,
which should be cancelled", he emphasized. Position of the Criminal -
remedial code has been violated, which provide openness of judicial
consideration. Article 129 of the Constitution of Ukraine about legal
proceedings has been violated also. In opinion of Onopenko, equality of the
sides in court has been violated, which is a principle of competition and right
on protection.
Onopenko also informed that lawyer of Timoshenko knew nothing about past
session of the Kiev city court.
Replying to agency "Interfax-Ukraine ", Onepenko informed that
board of the Supreme Court of Ukraine should consider complaint to the decision
of board of the Kiev city court within 20 days.
Turchinov, in turn, added that "new
mass actions" would begin from the next week". "In off days, we
shall assemble political council of party "Batkivshina", while on
Monday - council of fraction of ("Batkivshina") and we shall make the
decision on realization of actions in parliament and in streets of Kiev ",
emphasized by him.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Jushchenko considers that repeated
arrest of former vice-Premier Julia Timoshenko "stops negotiating process
for way out from political crisis ". Premier regards the arrest of
Timoshenko as "demonstration of force - undesirable to solution of
political crisis and for change of normal political dialogue".
Making comments on arrest of Timoshenko in interview to news service
" TCN " of Ukrainian TV channel "1+1", Ushenko noted: "It
is hard to carry on negotiations if any of the sides is behind a lattice".
"Neither a lattice or use of force, nor any another political populism
cannot give us answer to it. I am convinced that we shall go through this
episode, and there will come a humane and fair decision. And the truth will
triumph", - the Prime Minister declared.
Ushenko informed that he has done and similarly planned to discuss with
Timoshenko, however yet not specified, how.
On Saturday Ushenko attended congress of Union Ukraine, which was held in
Kiev Teacher's club. On exhibition - sale organized in a hall, Premier bought
hand-worked embroidered shirts.
