Hopelessness
of actions of Moscow in the Chechen Republic becomes more obvious every day.
Sensation of impasse and confusion is getting stronger every day, which is
paralyzing and shrouding Kremlin. Chaotic tugging commands of occupational
grouping and unknown atrocities of so-called special services against the
peaceful population only strengthen this impression. Position of aggressors, and
along with it, the position of Kremlin, is promptly worsened and nothing can
improve the situation.
As
early as half-year back, any attempt of the Russian politicians and so-called
human rights watch to demand for immediate termination of war on Caucasus, was
considered by the Russian public and authorities, as treachery. Army generals
would howl on the whole world, that again they are deprived of victory and
Yastrjembsky in details would state conditions of capitulation of "insurgents".
Today the situation is different. In Moscow hardly each day pass without press
conferences and meetings of supporters of the termination of war and
negotiations with Maskhadov. The Russian TV channels unexpected for many without
special comments and convicting pathos tell about efforts of human right watch
to stop war. Host of the analytical TV program Leont’ev is mute. Beginning of
collecting signatures for peace talks with Chechens is declared. The Russian
politicians wrote an open letter to two Presidents and ask them to sit on
negotiating table.
In
Djokhar city, 10 thousand protesters gathered for a meeting, and Russian
invaders do not shoot participants of this meeting. Simultaneously in several
directions, Moscow started working on establishment of contacts with various
Chechen representatives inside ChRI, and as well as abroad. There is information
about contacts made by some Chechen figures with the Kremlin envoys and
individual representatives of the Russian finance-political groups, including
opposition of Kremlin. Two main persons of present war on Caucasus - Sergey and
Rushailo have been replaced. Manilov finally disappeared from screens of TVs,
and ultimatums of Yastrjembsky began to sound unenergetically and unsuccessfully.
Sociologists and other centers of studying of public opinion, as if on command,
unexpectedly began to give out dubious figures of results of interrogations of
Russians. Yesterday's "approval" on "wetting all Chechens in
toilets" disappeared. Instead of that "weariness from war",
"uncertainty of victory", “failure of Putin’s policy", "defeatist
moods" and so on appeared. Authoritative scholars and political predictors
began to assert that continuation of war will prove disastrous for Russia, and
that it is time to find out "political methods of settlement of crisis".
All is simple – as they were unable to achieve their goal by means of
murdering 200 thousand Chechens, it is necessary to reconcile with survived ones.
Who will remind the old - to that eye, so to say? This is a purely Russian
approach.
What
has occurred actually? What factors are working behind the unexpected attempts
of the Kremlin to bring the war to an end? Why the Russian policies and public
figures have suddenly ceased to be afraid to communicate with "international
terrorists "? Answers to these questions can be a several. But the main
answer is one - Kremlin prepares for inevitable defeat. And desperately tries to
make so, that this defeat would cause the minimal damage to the Kremlin
authority and prevent the catastrophe, with which it is going to face. But
whether Chechens want to rescue the Kremlin?
