Georgia is waiting for investigation

Russians are bearing direct responsibility for killing of the first President of Georgia, Zviad Gamsakhurdia.

Two topics are discussed more and more in Tbilisi these days – secret killing of first President of country, Gamsakhudia and capture of Georgian arms in Bulgaria. President of “All-Georgian association for defence of human rights”, George Kervalishvili dispatch an official letter to general prosecutor of Georgia, in which there was demand to order for repeated investigation of circumstances of assassination of the first President of country, Zviad Gamsakhurdia and call all those, involved in his killing. It was announce in press-release of this human rights association that reason for such appeal of George Kervalishvili to general prosecutor became the speech on 15 April in broadcasting of television company TV-6 of former Chief of security services of Georgia, Igore Georgadze, in which he announced that assassination of ex-President Gamsakhurdia was executed by Georgian special services at the order of leadership of the country with its head as a President Shewardnadze. Kervalishvili demand that general prosecutor of Georgia in accordance with the norms of national legislation should pursue criminal case under the clause of “killing” based on the facts of death of Gamsakhudia. If this demand was not fulfilled, activists of “All-Georgia association of human rights watch” will threaten to arrange protest meetings in fron of the building of General Prosecutor of Georgia. According to official version, Zvial Gamsakhurdia committed suicide on 31 of December, 1993.

Similarly scandal of Georgian arms, held at the aeroport of Sophia, is proceeding. Bulgaria is waiting for the official explanation of Georgian government in connection with the held  Ukrainian aeroplane with arms from Czeck at the aeroport of Burgas city last week, belongs to Ministery of Defence of Georgia, but caused doubts in connection with its possible flight to Eriteria. Official representative of MFA of Bulgaria, Radko Vlaikov with interview with personal correspondent of Prime-News in Sophia informed that not looking at official demand from General Council of Georgia in Bulgaria (office in Istanbul), there has been received no confirmation that the final destination for supply of this cargo was actually Georgia. According to Radko Vlaikov, we have received only verbal confirmation from Istanbul that beneficiary of this cargo is “some Georgian company”, but the essential certificate was not dispatched for this purpose.

“This case will be closed by Bulgaria only after receiving of confirmation by Sophia about the fact that cargo belongs to official organization of the country, where there is no arm embargo of any type and these arms will not be sold to a third country”, said Vlaikov. Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia, Gela Bejuashvili confirms that Tbilisi has no knowledge that there is Ukrainian aeroplane Il-76, which landed at the aeroport of Burgas city and destined for Geogia with military cargo from Czeck. Gela Bejuashvili said, that he does not understand, why the aeroplane landed not at the destined point – Kutais aeroport of Kopitnari, but in Bulgaria. He said that he does not understand that why the crew of the aeroplane announced that they are taking military cargo not to Geogia but to Eriteria, which increased to the alertness of Sophia.
