According
to the data presented by the Chechen commandment, in the last 24 hours armed
clashes with aggressors took place mainly in the cities Johar and Gudermes as
well as in the regions of Urus-Martan and Vedeno of the CRI.
In the regions Naurskaya, Gudermes, Shatoi and Groznenski successful
offensive actions on explosion of war enginery and the destruction of the live
force of the enemy were carried out. In
Johar, a violent crossfire, which lasted about one hour, occurred in Oktabrski
district near the 5th City Hospital. Here, a group of Chechen fighters attacked a patrol
detachment of occupants. Already in
the first minutes of the battle 4 aggressors were killed.
Not less than 6 soldiers of the enemy were injured in the crossfire.
In Urus-Martan, in the course of gunfire exchange with an armored
maneuver group of the enemy, 1 Chechen fighter died.
As
a result of a direct hit of a grenade thrower shell 1 aggressors’ BTR was
wrecked. 1 aggressor was killed and
8 were wounded. In Gudermes, in the
western end of the city, a group of enemy’s soldiers was destroyed as a result
of a special operation performed by a mobile subdivision of Chechen mujahideen.
It is reported that 7 occupants were killed and 1 BTR was burned down.
1 howitzer was put out of operation.
In Vedeno region, gunfire exchanges are lasting for three days already.
Here, mobile units of Chechen fighters are carrying out maneuver battles
with paratrooper subdivisions of the enemy.
In the last 24 hours 9 specnaz men of the enemy were destroyed as a
result of clashes in the regions of Vedeno, Dishni-Vedeno and Shamil-Khutor.
On the Chechen side, 2 mujahideen died and 4 were injured.
