“Taxi-driver”
sexual maniac
In
Krasnodar, the regional court passed a sentence on the man, who was charged by
investigation bodies for a series of murder and rape.
Anatoli Rudnitskiy committed the crimes in a small provincial town
Tikhoretsk. The inhabitants of the
town gave the maniac the nickname “taxi-driver”.
While earning his living by private transport on an old “Jiguli” he
also looked out for his future victims. The
scenario of the crimes he committed was always the same: using force he pulled
the woman he liked into the car, drove to a quiet place, there beat and raped
her, then cut her throat with a knife, and discarded the body in the suburb
forest.
The
first victims of Rudnitski were two 20-year-old girls.
Then, a month after their disappearance Galina Piskovatskaya, 34, was
found killed. Around midnight she
had been returning home. Only a
hundred meters were left to her house but she did not walk them.
That night her 14-year-old daughter Kristina was waiting for her.
The
maniac was found with the aid of one of the girls he kidnapped.
She escaped death miraculously and described his physical appearance to
operative workers. “The criminal
closed one of his victims, Elena Avtonomova, into the trunk and remained with
the other in private. Later, he
engaged in debauchery with Elena but she managed to escape,” told to NTV the
chief of Tikhoretsk criminal investigation department Sergei Konovalov.
In the court Elena Avtonomova became the key witness.
Convicted
Rudnitskiy acknowledged that he killed four people.
He asserted that at times of the actual commitment of crimes his mind
went blank, so he must be sent for treatment in a hospital.
However, according to the opinion of the commission of psychiatric
experts the convicted is completely responsible.
In the colony he will have to undergo a course of treatment not for a
psychological disorder but for alcoholism.
Judge Yuri Zagudaev pronounced the sentence upon the maniac, ”To bring
a verdict of guilty to Rudnitskiy Anatoli Vladimirovich and appoint a punishment
according to Article 105, Part 2, Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, in
the form of lifelong imprisonment.”
