The
so-called commander of Russian occupational army in north Caucasus Genadi
Troshev made a sensational declaration on the meeting with dwellers of
mountainous Dagestan. Troshev
declared that “Chechen combatants” are involved in the death of 8-year-old
Dagestan boy who was fired from a battle helicopter near Aidi settlement on 13
May. Without batting an eyelid,
Troshev declared that exactly Chechens killed the boy to amazed Dagestanians.
In fist version of firing Dagestanian family Russian pressed on the
fact that the helicopter did not have identification marks and that’s why
Russian military have no relation to it. Several
days later, evidently after thorough investigation, the Russian general came to
opinion that the helicopter belongs to Chechen mujahideen. However, not only a
helicopter. When answering to
complaints of Dagestanians, dwellers of a populated area Gagatli who were saying
that several ten cattle were killed and houses of local dwellers were damaged as
a result of artillery shooting of their village, Troshev plainly declared that
”Chechen combatants have done that”. Chechen
artillery so to say, fires Dagestan villages to revenge.
After
such sensational declarations, Genadi Troshev stated that new detachments of
Russian army are will be brought into Chechnya. Official
versions explaining reasons for bringing in new regiments and divisions is “
to prevent Chechen detachments from penetrating on territory of Dagestan”. Amazed Dagestanians were in perplexity after the meeting
with the Russian general. The brave
general left more questions than answers in hearts of mountaineers. If
all territory of Ichkerya is under the control of Russian army, where from do
Chechens have helicopters? Where
from do mujahideen have artillery if in the words of Troshev itself they gather
into small groups from 5 to 7 people to carry out diversions?
Why army from Dagestan must be brought to Chechnya to protect
Dagestan? And why did they call off
military forces from Chechnya the necessity of bring in new ones appeared? In
such case, were they really called off? If
the commander of all forces in Chechnya lies so openly that even in the Dagestan
backwoods his words are intercepted like a gibberish, then what is happening in
Chechnya?
In
is interesting that the declaration about bringing in additional forces to
Ichkerya was heard when Putin’s assistant Yastrjembski practically admitted a
failure of Russian aggression and called Georgia almost the prime culprit of
this failure. And if it is possible
to detect double intent in comments of Yastrjembski, such intent can’t be
found in the general’s declaration at wish. Russian
general openly admitted that the forces in Chechnya don’t manage, that
situation is critical and that additional forces are absolutely essential even
by necking home front. As to
Chechen “helicopters and artillery” it is only a trait even if considerable
to real moral-psychological condition of Russian commandment that like a mirror refracts condition of Kremlin itself.
