of armored machines and crossfire

Chechen
side reports about continuing blowing of Russian armored machines and crossfire
with units of Russian occupational groupings.
A BMP of aggressors was blown up on radio-directed landmine in
Staropromyslovski region of Johar. The
mine exploded when the armored vehicle was crossing railroad in Katayama
settlement. It is reported about
destroying 3 occupants. An URAL car
was exploded near former press house. Not
less than 5 aggressors were killed. One
more armored machine, BTR was fired from grenade throwers, which after direct
hitting drove about 150 meters and started to burn, on Jukovski Street.
At least 4 occupants were killed. A diversion group of mujahideen
destroyed an UAZ car with 3 OMON men in Argun.
The OMON men were shot from sub-machine-gun.
Three explosions of Russian military machines occurred in Gudermes in
last days. Reportedly 2 BTR and one
GAZ 66 vehicle were burned down. 8
occupants were killed as a result of the diversions.
Violent
crossfire took place between mujahideen and Russian specnaz in region of
populated area Shirdji-Mohk. Chechen side reports that the battle with the enemy
lasted for almost 2 hours. Russians
used supporting helicopters and aviation. Mobile
subdivision of Chechen mujahideen left their positions when Russian started to
bombard them. Reportedly, 2
combatants were wounded and 1 mujahideen died.
There is no concrete information about losses on Russian side.
However, at least 5
aggressors were killed during contact battle.
The contact battle lasted for 40 minutes, after which Russians fell back
leaving 5 bodies on the battlefield.
