Three
days ago, at about 6 o’clock at local time, about 35-year-old men, in civil
clothes came to the office of North Caucasian Representation of Information
Center of Unity of Russian-Chechen friendship.
He introduced himself as an officer of Russian armed forces and handed
over a note from dwellers of Alkhan-Kala village of Grozny region of Chechen
Republic of Ichkeria. When handing
it over he added from himself personally that, “If you will not raise
community and help people in Alkhan-Kala to get out of encirclement the fate
worse than of dwellers and Assinovskaya is waiting for them.”
Content
of the note is following
“From
beginning of July 13 Russians are performing cleansing in Alkhan-Kala under
pretence of checking for passport regime. The
village is totally blocked form July 4. There
are checkpoints after each 150-200 meters in the village itself. People are forbidden to move in the village.
People don’t have a right to go outside their yards.
All roads in the village are mined.
Cattle are blown up. Head of
administration Gasaev Ramzan was killed after 21 o’clock on July6.
He was killed by Russian subdivisions after demanded to stop taunting
upon people.
They
burst into houses at night and demand vodka, food and women.
Marauding is being performed. Everything
that was saved during first cleansing and air raids is taken out on “URAL”
vehicles at night and day. They
destroy everything, they consider unfitting for taking out.
On
July 13, a group of officers and contract men called elders of the village and
started to threat, “Let your girls and young women marry for us.
In any way they will be left to elders.
We have an order to destroy all young men and we will fulfil it.”
Many
young men are detained and taken away in unknown direction.
Still, there is no information about them.
We
are not afraid of death, but we are afraid of shame. For
the Sake of Allah, save us! Dwellers of Alkhan-Kala village.”
Punitive
action is being performed in Serjen-Yurt
On
July 15 of 2001, Russian troops surrounded part of Serjen-Yurt village.
Military burst into houses and beat its dwellers, including elders, women
and children, with words “We will perform you second Sernovodsk here soon!
When
burst into house of Sultan Suleimanov, living on Aslanbek Sheripov's Street 72,
soldiers tied back by back together father with daughter, and mother with son,
threw them down on each other and violently beat by accompanying their action
with dirty comments.
At
the same time, fellow-soldiers of those, who were performing execution, took out
all reserves of food, audio and video technique and valuable things on BTRs.
They took away golden chain from neck of master daughter and gold
earrings form her ears together with meat.
All
members of the family, including wife were also beaten in house of 47-year-old
Sobr-Ali Bedigov.
They
mutilated 19-year-old son of the master till half death, threw him into cellar
and mined it. Nothing is known about his fate on July 15. Chastisers
performed such outrages in many other houses, too.

connection to the received information, Community of Russian-Chechen friendship
addresses to all people of good will, to governments and parliaments of states,
Russian and international low defending organizations, to social and political
workers with appeal to do everything depending on them at the earliest possible
date to stop ethnic cleansing being performed now in Alkhan-Kala and Serjen-Yurt
and to save its dwellers.
