The
staff of command of Chechen mujahideen informs about successful military
operation of one of mobile divisions of Chechen fighters in Shelkovskaya
area of country. The squad of mujahideen attacked an
automobile convoy of aggressors on road leading towards settlement Shelkovskaya.
According to Chechen party, convoy included 9 motor vehicles and three armored
troop-carriers for security covering. Having destroyed a head armored car by a
remote controlled landmine, mujahideen opened massed fire on the opponent from
machine guns and grenade launchers. Heavy firing continued more than two hours.
Only
after arrival of combat helicopters to the place of fight, Chechen fighters left
the base. According to command of Mujahideen, during the fight in Shelkovskaya
area of country, 19 Omon soldiers and employees of FSB of the Russian
Federation were destroyed. One armored troop-carrier and four motor vehicles
were burnt. From the Chechen party, one fighter became shaheed and three have
received minor wounds.
The
Chechen sources inform about fighting incidents in Johar and Argun city. In
capital, offensive divisions of mujahideen in the last 24-hour have destroyed 4
units of military engineering of aggressors, including one BMP and BRDM. Not
less than 8 occupants were killed. In Argun, armored troop-carrier and motor
vehicle UAZ was undermined. Not less than 7 soldiers of the opponent were
informed dead and 6 aggressors wounded. Undermining of BMP has taken place in
Gudermes. As a result of the offensive, 4 aggressors were destroyed.
The
Chechen party informs about clashes with occupants in Itum-Kalin area of country.
According to command of mujahideen on the eve, in area of settlement Ushkaloi,
there was another fight between squad of Chechen fighters and Russian aggressors.
Details of fight are unknown. However, as informed from center of communication
of Argun gorge to staff of command, at least 9 aggressors were destroyed during
fighting. From the Chechen party, some fighters have received wounds.
