Military
campaign of USA and their allies against Afghanistan causes more criticism both
from the side of the Islamic countries and from the side of Europeans.
Increasingly more frequent European Mass-Media subject the actions of Washington
to rigid criticism, calling war in central Asia not other than goal-directed
action of terrorism. Indicative in this connection is the article of the British
newspaper «Mirror», which called the war launched by United States to be hoax.
Struggle
with the terrorism - grandiose mystification of the United States, considers
British newspaper. «During continuous three-week bombardments of Afghanistan,
USA did not destroy and caught not a single terrorist. Then during this period,
we can observe only the example, as military monster expresses its anger to one
of the weakest and most defenseless countries.
Sooner,
terrorism must be named the actions of the American pilots, who after a
deficiency in the military targets bomb peaceful citizens, hospital, storages of
the Red Cross, trucks with the humanitarian aid. But prime minister of Great
Britain Tony Blair still needs to explain, what is common between death of seven
children in one Afghan family and Ben Laden, emphasizes the British newspaper «Mirror».
Completely
inadequate information comes from Afghanistan, notes Mirror. Whether many do
know that during the bombardments are applied cluster bombs, which serve as a
sole goal and that is the destruction of live enemy target? Whether this is not
the weapon of terrorist? None of the suspected of terrorist acts on 11 September
in USA was Afghan, newspaper recollects. Majorities of them were the citizens of
Saudi Arabia, who passed their preparatory training in Germany and USA.
Meanwhile
British Defence
Secretary Geoff Hoon,
little without confusing by the obviousness of the loud dips in Afghanistan,
declares exactly opposite, attempting to convince community of the effectiveness
of the actions of USA and their allies. Geoff
Hoon
confirms that the military operation in the territory of Afghanistan seriously
blew up the ability of organization «Al-Qaeda» to make further attacks.
Taliban,
according to him, are subject to significant pressure in the case of handover of
Osama bin Laden. Speaking at the press conference, the head of British defense
stated that the military operation opened way for the more complex operation for
overthrowing of the ruling leadership, which helps terrorists to accomplish
criminal actions. Answering the question, which concerns the death of peaceful
Afghans, Geoff
Hoon
used Kremlin propagandistic method, after stating that basic task of alliance in
the course of this operation is to reduce to minimum number of deaths among the
civil population.
In
this background, the statement of another high-ranked British serviceman sounds
with explicit discord. Commander of British Royal Marines, Roger
Lane
stated that he was not confident in the readiness of its people for the
participation in the military operation in Afghanistan, informs BBC. Now the
contingent of British marines completes large-scale military trainings in Oman.
After their end, the marines will remain in the region in order to take part in
the military actions in Afghanistan. However, brigadier Lane
declares that he wants to be sure in the fact that the sea forces are completely
ready for participation in the action.
In
his turn, official representatives of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan several
times stated that the attacks of USA and their allies do not cause serious harm
to Taliban. Bombardments of Americans cause the death of peaceful inhabitants
and refugees, their death toll reaches already to thousands of women, children
and old men. Furthermore, Afghan leadership appealed to thousands of volunteers
- Pakistanis, who are going for reinforcement of Taliban, to restrain from the
massive crossing and entry to its boundary, «so far as except air attack on
Afghanistan, there is no other threat. Speaking at the press conference in
Islamabad, ambassador of Afghanistan in Pakistan, Abdul Salam Zaeef claimed that
Taliban have taken some Americans as prisoners of war. However, he refused to
give details of their concrete situation, after referring to the fact that he
does not have authorities to answer similar questions.
