After
certain calm, they again focused on the «problem» of Pankis gorge. On last
Friday came the news about customary crime, which was fixed by the fate for this
geographical corner of Georgia. The fact is that on last Thursday in the upper
reaches of river Alazan (in the township of Alazani Stavi), some persons
kidnapped four ecclesiastic, supposedly members of the sect Brothers of Iyegova
that secluded still several years ago in this God-forsaken place. Larger part,
those disappeared were known only from very good aspect to local residents and
to refugees. Here not one ten people recall, as they sheltered many travelers
and refugees from Chechnya, some of them were equipped in their way with
products and horses. In a word, they were very respected people and hardly local
residents can participate in this crime.
On
the contrary, general indignation is prevailing everywhere. And those, who
decided to take this step, he struck the very sick place and acted with
long-range goals. It is obvious that organizers of this action attempt to kindle
religious hostility and opposition. Practically no one in Pakis doubts, that
after abduction of hermits clearly is seen vengeance of Russian special services
for official government of Georgia for its rigid position with respect to the
claims of its insidious northern neighbor.
Surely
within next few days will follow large ideological hustle of Russian clericals
from KGB. In one-way or another, it is not going to sit folding hands and local
community. Significant forces are already working to search for criminals - such
is the decision of the council of local elders and Chechen refugees. Although
there is no evidence of the fact that recluses are found in the territory of
Pankis. In case of catching, criminals expect severe punishment. Majority of
local residents declares, that there are no doubts whatever about the fact that
Russian special services are the customers of this vile act.
It
is still not known that criminals put forward their demand to pay ransom in sum
millions of dollars, and Mass-Media again took up arms against Chechens, and
that is what specifically attained organizers of usual political order.
