What
might be development of events subsequently in Afghanistan already today is
obvious that concept of Mullah Omar, who foretold large-scale conflict between
so-called allies in «anti-Taliban coalition», begins to become reality. The
speed, with which yesterday's allies are converted into irreconcilable enemies,
even a bit, is not retarding the speed, with which Taliban turned over Afghan
provinces and cities. And if in the concepts of Taliban actually is present
serious plan, then it is possible with confidence to say that this plan is
carried out completely successfully.
In
the Afghan province of Paktia between different groupings of anti-Taliban
coalition already began fierce clashes. This was reported by ABC news with
reference to Afghan Islamic Press. As a result of clashes, there were a number
of dead and injured. Combat is going on for the capital of province – Gardez
city, which is situated at a distance of 120 km to south of Kabul. One of the
opposing sides is the grouping of Bacha Khan Zadran, representative of the
former king of Afghanistan, Zahir Shah during negotiations in Bonn. Zadran heads
the so-called council of «Eastern Shura», who after retreat of Taliban
controls the province of Paktia and Khost city. Battle in Paktia is not the
single case. Still continue the skirmishes between detachments of Dostum and
supporters of General Abdul Malik in Mazar-e-Sharif region. In the province of
Bamian occurred clashes between Tajiks and Hazara-Shiites. The separate regions
of Kabul are so divided into spheres of the influence of these two ethnic groups
of the population of Afghanistan.
In
the West of the country in province Heart, head of pro-Iranian groupings of
Ismail Khan, accused
delegates of the so-called Bonn conference that they created government for
themselves. In his opinion, distribution of posts in the government does not
reflect real situation in the country. Another oppositionist, General Dostum
condemned agreement in Bonn and he announced his intention to block the work of
«Bonn’s government», since in it is insufficiently represented members of
his grouping, which consists mainly of Uzbeks.
Dostum
directly threatened, that he will not allow any person to his territory. One
additional aspirant to his piece of pirogue, pro-American leader of the armed
grouping of Pashtun, Gul Agha, who is known in Baluchistan as one of biggest
narcotic businessman, accused another American protege of Pashtun, Karzai in the
secret deal with Taliban. Gul Agha considers that the actions of Karzai will
lead to chaos in the city and, possibly, to civil war.
«He did not confer with any
one, stated press-secretary of Gul Agha to agency Reuter. - Now in the city is
chaos, residents of different streets battle against each other. And all this
was provoked by this Mr. - new Prime Minister». Dissatisfaction with situation
in Afghanistan and with composition of new government expressed one other
Pashtun commander, Ahmad Geylani, who intended to conduct independent policy and
to accomplish independent operations, including of military nature.
As
a result of all this, the country, as till the arrival of Taliban again is
divided into several quarreling territories, which are controlled by different
ethnic groupings - Tajik, Pashtun, Hazara and Uzbeks.
Thus,
if Taliban by their unexpected and general retreat posed the problem to American
allies to quarrel between themselves and to plunge into internal war, they
succeeded in it completely. There are expectations that events will develop
further. Especially, when none of the highest military and political leaders of
Taliban was killed or seized into captivity.
