The
parliamentary fraction of Georgia «Traditionalist» comes forward with the
demand about the beginning in the highest legislative organ before the
completion of the autumnal session, of debates regarding the exit of Georgia
from CIS.
As stated in the interview of Georgian mass media by leader of fraction, Akaki
Asatiani, traditionalists categorically against stay of the Georgia in the
composition of CIS require of the parliamentarians of the idea of arguments in
connection with this question. Who must explain - why Georgia must not leave
from the composition of collaboration, he noted. Traditionalists several times
in the parliament put forward the question about exit of Georgia from CIS, but
the highest legislative organ did not support this demand.
CIS was based in 1991, 12 former Soviet republics are its members. Let us recall
that Georgia became member of CIS in 1994.
In Georgia meanwhile burns
scandal connected with special representative of UN in Georgia, Diter Bodin. So
the representative of parliamentary fraction, «Promyshlenniki», Guram Sharadze
considers that he must be set the question about the responsibility of special
representative of Gen-Sec of UN on issue of regulating Georgian-Abkhaz conflict,
Diter Bodin and his possible departure from the country in such case, when are
confirmed «alarming» materials about it, which pass along the channels of mass
media. As was stated by Guram Sharadze on Tuesday at the plenary meeting of
parliament, in the publications of mass media, Diter Bodin was represented as
the opponent to return of Abkhazia to the composition of the Georgia and
corrupted personality.
In the opinion of Guram Sharadze, if these charges are not confirmed, then
corresponding reaction in the relation to mass media must follow.
In turn the representative of fraction «XXI» century, Revaz Mishveladze stated
that from the side of Diter Bodin are made the statements about the conclusion
of Georgian military subdivisions from Kodori gorge, to which must react the
parliament. According to him, representative of Gen-Sec of UNO nothing makes in
the plan of the return of Abkhazia to the composition of Georgia.
Leader of fraction «XXI century», Vakhtang Bochorishvili noted at the session
that UN granted recommendation to Georgia in connection with the status of
Abkhazia, would be examined as sovereign formation in the composition of Georgia,
with which Georgian side was not concordant.
In this connection, Chairman of Parliament, Nino Burdzhanadze informed that the
question of Abkhazia, possibly, would be examined at the extraordinary session
of the highest legislative organ on the future week. Diter Bodin himself refused
any commentaries, after referring to the fact that present discussion in the
parliament bear internal political character.
