9th International Festival of Graphic-Itinerant Humour
Humour Art Museum
Theme
The 9th
International Itinerant Festival of graphic humour prefixed humour
art museum creation.
It is the only museum in the world that can house the greatest works
by artist of the past and present simultaneously, in the same space,
thanks to the best humour pencils of the five continents. They’re
not author’s fakes, in many cases they are revised and corrected
versions of the great works of the great painters and sculptors of
the world.
The art in the museums not always suggests feelings of serenity and
solemnity. Behind every work there has always been another
interpretation very different to the one the artist wanted to give.
How many times have we wondered which would be the problems of
Rodin’s Thinker, with his head always downwards in position of
eternal meditation, or the reason of the enigmatic smile of the Mona
Lisa, or the reason of the two hands almost in contact in
Michelangelo’s Creation, or the reason of the obesity of Botero’s
characters, etc. It is possible that the great artist of humanity
would have never imagined that one their works could have been
re-created by humour graphic artists from all around the world,
seriously and with respect, preserving their eternal quality and
value of cultural treasures of humanity.
If necessary, we apologize since now for the sound irreverence of
the humour artists, but first of all their intention is not the lack
of respect of the great artists’ works, on the contrary, the spirit
is that of giving the opportunity to all the people who have never
entered into a museum to see the great masterpieces, even through
the humour.
Museums as the Louvre, the British Museum, the Metropolitan, the
Hermitage will never have the opportunity to house at the same time
works by Monet, Goya, Picasso, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Botero,
Modigliani, Dalì, Siqueiro, Rodin, Gauguin, Wharol, Lautrec, Van
Gogh, Magritte, etc.
In this Festival the humour pencils from all over the world allow us
to virtually visualize the unique and unrepeatable HUMOUR
ART MUSEUM characterized by a sincere and real love for
art.
